Spring into color!
It’s time to introduce color to your home. The past few years have been saturated with neutral interiors, which is great, but this spring we are switching things up. I used to be a neutral girly, however once I found how fun color can be and the different ways it can compliment not only you but your home, I fell in love! And I want you to fall in love as well.
Rule #43: Color theory can (and often will) guide your entire design scheme.
When it comes to color theory in your home, there are a few key concepts to keep in mind: saturation, tone, value, color temperature (warm vs. cool), complementary colors, analogous colors, triadic colors, and split-complementary colors. Color psychology can also be a helpful tool when choosing shades that best fit your space. While I won’t dive into it in this post, here’s a helpful link that breaks these concepts down.
The trend forecast for this year in regards to colors for the Spring season are as follows:
Pantone color forecast for Spring 2025.
WGSN color forecast for Spring 2025
Benjamin Moore color forecast for 2025.
Farrow & Ball’s new colors for 2025.
You can apply these ideas and trends to everything from paint and upholstery to hard materials in your home. And don’t forget about lighting! It can dramatically change color values and tones, adding even more versatility to your design.
I hope this post sparks some inspiration and encourages you to start playing with color to make your home even more beautiful!
