Let’s get moody!

This season, Fall/Winter 2024-25, the mood board is moody, to say the least! As we begin to transition into the colder months, many of us tend to gravitate toward darker colors, tones, and hues. Whether it's the cloudiness in the sky, the changing leaves, the bare trees, or even the dropping temperatures, these factors all contribute to our sense of trend and style. While many designers claim they don't follow trends, I believe that if something is beautiful and inspiring, you should incorporate that trend into your unique style! Changing trends can be a great source of inspiration to elevate your look.

Let’s dissect this board a little further, shall we? I drew inspiration from the overall darker feel of fall and winter, as well as the Pantone Autumn/Winter 20242025 color forecast. The range of deep tones, organic neutrals, and pops of vibrant color was irresistible, so I embraced it!

In this mood board, I also wanted to incorporate suede. Some of this inspiration comes from fashion, as I firmly believe that fashion trends often drive the evolution of interior design trends. What better way to illustrate this than through a material like suede? Just imagine redoing your sitting room with cozy, deep brown suede wallpaper—you'll never want to leave, I guarantee it.

The Lady Gaga October 2024 Vogue cover makes a second appearance in my blog, but how could it not? It features many colors from the trend forecast, and she is simply fabulous and moody, making it impossible to resist. She truly sets the tone for this mood board.

Organic shapes are another aspect I wanted to incorporate, inspired by the WGSN interior design trends forecast for 2024/2025, Plus, I’m a sucker for curved elements!

Other miscellaneous inspirations on this board include nature, lighting, and even the color and shape of hair. That's what I love about mood boards: they allow you to draw inspiration from anywhere and drive your next beautiful endeavor. So go ahead, find inspiration or create your own mood board, but don’t forget to make it even more beautiful!
