A beautiful state of mind!

Along with Paris, France, New York City, New York is one of my favorite cities in the world! To be fair, I still have plenty of travel left to do, but I’m not sure any other place could match it. The variety and eccentric energy that flow through these streets are unparalleled. One minute, you might be passing questionable characters in a subway that smells of pee, and the next, you could be sitting in one of the most beautiful restaurants you've ever visited, eating the best pasta you've ever had. That juxtaposition is what makes this city so captivating!

New York City is filled with countless neighborhoods, each rich with design (SoHo, Tribeca, and the Upper East Side are just a few of my favorites). It often has a moodier quality, at least in my experience. As you scroll through the imagery below, you'll see a range of interiors—from museums and showrooms to restaurants and more. As you do, notice the culture, the depth, and the way lighting impacts the spaces. Even lighter color schemes take on a “moodier” feel, thanks to the interplay of these elements. I believe this moodiness reflects the lifestyle of the city itself. Of course, we must also remember the years of design that have shaped many of these spaces, adding layers, depth, and tone. When you recreate designs in aged spaces, you inevitably introduce an element of mystique.

For all these reasons and more, I am so in love with this beautiful city. I hope that Ben and I will continue to call it our second home for years to come, exploring the endless beauty it has to offer, because it never stops! With this in mind, I hope you’re able to take inspiration from these spaces and apply it to your own home. Enjoy making it even more beautiful!
